It's never too early to get ready to vote!
Here are some resources to help you make a plan to vote for Anne.
Eligibility and registration

Are you eligible to vote? To vote in Connecticut you must be 18 years old by election date and be a US citizen living in Connecticut. Click here for more details.

How do you register to vote? You can register to vote online through the Secretary of State website up to 18 days before election day. Click here to register.

Absentee Voting

In CT, absentee voting will continue AS USUAL with ONE important change: you no longer need an excuse to request an absentee ballot, thanks to a state Constitutional amendment voters passed in 2024.

To vote absentee, here are the 3 steps you need to take:
Step 1: Apply for it online or in person.
Applications will be available online starting September 19 here.
Applications will be available at your Town Clerk’s office the week of September 21.
Ballots will be issued starting October 2, so when you fill out the application, you should include the address where you will be after Oct. 2 if you want the ballot mailed to you.
Step 2: Fill out your ballot.
You will need to sign the envelope that comes with the ballot.
Step 3: Return your ballot.
There are 4 ways you can return your ballot:

You can drop off the ballot in the ballot drop box available in your town, or

You can hand in your ballot to your Town Clerk, or
-
You can have a family member or designated caregiver return it for you, but there are certain rules to follow so please check here for the rules.

You can mail the ballot. The USPS must deliver your ballot, according to court rulings.
Your town clerk must receive your ballot by November 3 at 8pm.
Early Voting
You can vote when it’s convenient for you between Monday, October 19.- Sunday, November 1, including weekends, at these locations:
Danbury: City Hall, Conference Room 1A, 155 Deer Hill Avenue
New Fairfield: Town Hall, 4 Brush Hill Road
New Milford: John Pettibone Community Center, 2 Pickett District Road
Sherman: Mallory Town Hall, 9 Route 39N
Early voting hours will be 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.every day, and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29.
Election Day, November 3
Vote on November 3 at your assigned polling place. If you are not sure where your polling place is, click here. Polls are open 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. · As long as you’re in line by 8 p.m., you can vote, and your vote will be counted.
