After decades of fighting for gender equity and environmental protections as both an attorney and business leader, I am ready to fight for you in Hartford. In the State House, I will:

Lower Your Energy Costs

Eversource is a Wall Street driven monopoly that puts shareholders ahead of ratepayers like us. I'll hold Eversource accountable, push for real consumer alternatives, and make solar energy more accessible and affordable for homeowners and small businesses.

Deliver Property Tax Relief

Property taxes are too high because Hartford isn't paying its fair share. I'll fight to make the state fully fund education, including special education, so towns can provide tax relief without cutting the services we all depend on. I'll also push for tax relief for seniors and volunteer firefighters who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.

Support Families and Child Care

Families are being squeezed from every direction. I'll fight for a Child Tax Credit to put money back in parents' pockets, and investments in independent, locally owned child care so working families have affordable, trustworthy options close to home.

Make Housing Affordable

Too many people, from young families buying their first home to seniors looking to downsize, are being priced out. I'll work to make it easier and cheaper to build accessory units, and remove the barriers that make getting a mortgage so difficult for first time homeowners.

Support Small Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of our community, but too many struggle to access the funding they need to grow and comply with burdensome regulations. I'll fight for state programs that make lending more accessible, and reduce bureaucracy to make compliance easier. I will also work to ensure that our schools and training programs are equipping people with the skills local employers need.

Protect Our Environment

Our water and natural spaces are under threat. I'll tackle the growing danger of forever chemicals contaminating our water supply, and fight for stronger pesticide and watershed regulation to protect Candlewood Lake and the other water bodies that make our area so beautiful and are the economic engine of our communities.

Protect Our Rights & Social Safety Net

Washington is rolling back the rights and services that people depend on. I will work to strengthen the state’s safety net for our most vulnerable residents, and
stand strong against federal attacks on reproductive health care, our LGBTQ community as well as our immigrant neighbors.
